His knowledge of archaeology and clear love of his country and culture made for a fascinating and informative tour. Our driver made getting from place to place easy and convenient, and trying authentic Egyptian food for breakfast and lunch added to the adventure. The Citadel, Mosque, Alexandria Library, catacombs and Roman amphitheater were not just seen but explained. Not to mention that Tarek was also an excellent photographer so we have wonderful memories of our visit to take with us!

My guide Haytham is an academic, researcher, professor, and successful egyptologist. It was an incredibly enlightening and memorable experience with lots learned. We discussed current research breakthroughs in the field, various academic teams from around the world, involvement of multinational agencies, and implications of said research. Haytham’s wealth of knowledge is incredibly impressive - you can hear the his passion for his field in his voice and see it in his smiles. He brings you to all the right places for the amazing shots and provided detailed historical and modern concepts regarding egyptian history. He also brought me to amazing shops that demonstrated some of the best ancient technologies out there. Thanks Haytham for making my journey so memorable - I’ll be back for when the new museum is finished!
earino2023-09-17Flawless private tour I had the incredible privilege of spending a full week in Cairo with my wife. I had read many reports online that Egypt, and Cairo specifically could be challenging for tourists. The city is a massive, hectic metropolis. The sights, even within the city can be surprisingly far apart and difficult to navigate. Though the city has incredible draw, even for me, a knowledgeable traveler, it was intimidating. I contacted this company had the fortune of scheduling a full week of tours with our unforgettable guide, Haytham. Haytham was deeply knowledgeable about every facet of the history, and shared this information in a way that made it compelling and interesting. He took care of literally every possible thing I could imagine. If we were thirsty, Haytham made sure we had to drink. If we were hungry, Haytham made sure we were on our way to eat. If we were feeling a little sick, Haytham made sure we had exactly what was needed to feel better. I was not harassed by a vendor even a single time, I did not experience even a single "random checkpoint". Every step of the way was without friction and provided absolutely maximal enjoyment. Haytham took us to Saqqara, Giza, Memphis, Coptic Cairo, incredible mosques, the red sea, and everything else you can imagine. We saw the main attractions but at every point he also knew special, tucked away places, where we got to understand the true history of the incredible land that is Egypt. I should also add that the traffic and driving in Cairo is, honestly, chaotic. Haytham collaborated with our driver in such a way that every transition was seamless, every transit efficient, and we were always right around the corner from an amazing adventure. The driver also deserves quite a bit of credit, they are true heroes. What is there to say other than after a full week in Cairo, I feel I left with a deep understanding of one of the oldest and most complex civilizations on earth, from it's history and it's myths to it's modern times. I also feel I left with a good friend. If you are coming to Cairo, do yourself a favor and book a private tour here. I will come back some day, and I look forward to doing it all again with this group :-) He even taught me to read a little bit of heiroglyphics!

The initial communication with Tarek was seamless and he was really helpful in providing all kinds of information and answering any questions we had. He was also really flexible in terms of changing or adding parts of the tour and accommodate all our needs. Once we arrived in Egypt, everything went smoothly from start to finish. Our guide Haytham was fantastic - he is an archaeologist and teaches at Cairo University, so his knowledge is exceptional and his explanations were always comprehensive and super interesting. We genuinely couldn't possibly have had a better and more knowledgeable guide than Haytham. We also had the flexibility to change things up on the go and stay in various places for longer/shorter if we wanted to. Our driver Emiel was also fantastic throughout. Overall, we are extremely happy with Cairo Private Tours and will definitely reach out to them again next time we visit!

Tarek was incredible while communicating from the get go and throughout. He tailored a tour according to our needs and interests. We visited the new library (a must), a local market and a hidden old colonial bar, ate local food and had a lot of interesting insights.
